Our Staff:

Michelle Juhasz, LCSW, PPSC –
My name is Michelle Juhasz and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been licensed for four years and have over 12 years of experience in various social work settings and populations including the Child Welfare system, Immigration, Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC), victims of domestic abuse and trauma, LGBTQ, and severally emotionally disturbed youth. I have a passion to work with and advocate for individuals needing mental health services. I use a holistic approach, focusing on the myriad of factors that contribute to mental illness and work with my clients to balance and re evaluate their daily routines and practices in order to achieve success and healing. I work with individuals, children, and families from diverse backgrounds and value and uphold cultural sensitivity to its highest degree.
I have extensive experience working with teenage youth who have experienced trauma and abuse and assisted in creating the mental health program for a local Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). As a holder of a Pupil Personnel Service Credential I have worked many hours and days in the school systems, working with the issues that face our children in schools such as bullying, discrimination and identifying the appropriate learning environments and tools for children with special education needs. My work has also extended to those exhibiting severe and persistent mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorders, Major Depression, and Borderline Personality Disorder.
It is my belief that every individual deserves productive, accessible, and appropriate mental health services. I work with community partners to bring less stigma and more normalcy to the topic of mental health and healing and am 100% committed to my clients success.

Crystal Pereira, MFT, LMFT-
Hello, I am Crystal Pereira. I have a Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Family, and Children Therapy. I also have a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice. I have served families and children in need for over 20 years in Kern County. Currently I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I have experience with working with those who have suffered from Conduct Disorder and Depression. They also have experienced Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Schizophrenia, and Substance Abuse Dependency. Additionally, I have worked with individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD, ADD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Those with Bipolar Disorder (Manic-Depressive Illness), Borderline Personality Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder are also part of my experience.
In 2012, I decided that I wanted to change the way that I serve others so I made the choice to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a firm believer that everyone deserves to be content in their lives and sometimes they need assistance getting back on track to just being in that state. My goal is to serve this community by providing therapeutic services to clients, help with goal-setting, marriage, family, and relationship problems, life transitions, psychological problems, stress management, grief and loss, behavioral/emotional problems, substance abuse/chemical dependency, parenting, communication, and/or life skills and spiritual growth.
